About Global News

Global News is a news aggregator. We gather headlines from established publishers around the world, group them by story, and point you to the original reporting.

What we do

We collect headlines from the public RSS feeds that news organisations publish for exactly this purpose. Those headlines are sorted into topics — world, business, politics, technology, science, health, sport, entertainment and more — and into regions, so you can narrow the feed to what you actually want to read.

The site refreshes every fifteen minutes, so the front page reflects what is being reported now rather than what was reported this morning.

Coverage across multiple outlets

The part we care most about: when several publishers cover the same story, we group their reports together. A story carrying a "+3 more sources" badge has been reported by four different outlets, and the article page lists each of them. Seeing who else is covering a story — and who isn't — tells you something that a single headline cannot.

We do not republish articles

We show a headline, a short extract, and the publisher's name. We do not reproduce full articles. Every story links directly to the outlet that reported it, and that is where we want you to read it. The reporting is theirs; the credit and the traffic should be too.

How stories are selected

Selection is automated. Stories are ordered by recency and by how many outlets are covering them, not by editorial preference. We do not write the headlines, and including a story is not an endorsement of it or of the outlet that published it.

Corrections and removals

Because we aggregate rather than report, factual corrections belong with the original publisher. If you are a publisher and want your feed removed, or you have spotted a problem with how your content appears here, contact us and we will act on it promptly.

Who runs this

Global News is an independent project, not owned by or affiliated with any of the publishers whose headlines appear on it. Publisher names and logos remain the property of their respective owners.
