About Global News View

Global News View is an independent site of explainers and news analysis, written and edited by Mohak Chutani. It launched in September 2026. Every article lists the sources it draws on, and corrections are published on the article itself.

What the site is

This is analysis, not a newsroom. The site does not have reporters in the field or a wire service of its own. Each piece takes a story that is already in the news, or a question readers are asking, and works it through from the primary material: the regulator's circular, the official figures, the court record, the company filing or the scorecard. Where a piece relies on another outlet's reporting, it says which outlet, and links to it.

The aim is to add something a reader cannot get from the headline: a number worked through at real amounts, a claim checked against the record, or the relevant clause of a document explained.

What it covers

Most of the writing is about money in India: tax, banking, provident fund and pension rules, UPI and payments, and the regulations behind them. Alongside that are explainers on policy and technology and analysis of news stories when there is something useful to add. The longer, reference-style pieces are collected under Guides.

Who writes it

Every article and guide is written and edited by Mohak Chutani, who founded the site. His author page lists everything he has published here. Where software tools help with research or drafting, he reviews the result and is responsible for every claim on the page, as set out in the editorial standards.

How the work is checked

Primary sources first. Calculations show their inputs. Where sources disagree on a figure, the article says so rather than quietly picking one. Where a claim is contested, it is attributed to whoever made it. The full rules are on the editorial standards page.

Corrections

Mistakes happen. When one is found, the correction is published on the article with the date it was made, and it stays there. The policy, and how to report an error, is on the corrections page.

Independence and funding

Global News View is an independent project. It is not owned by, funded by or affiliated with any company, party or organisation it writes about, and it is not connected with Global News, the Canadian broadcaster, or any other news organisation. It is supported by advertising, which has no say in what is published. There are no sponsored posts or paid placements.
